Tax Defense Network's Fight Against Cyber Bully

October 22, 2013

This weekend, Tax Defense Network updated its website with news of a recent Cyber Bully Attack.

Over the past three weeks, Tax Defense Network has been systematically hit with negative online reviews posted on complaint forums like Ripoff Report, Pissed Consumer, My3Cents, and Complaints Board.

These forums allow users to post anonymously. Anyone can post anything at any time, and while complaint sites encourage users to post only about true experiences, there is no recourse for posting false information.

At first, Tax Defense Network gave these reviewers the benefit of the doubt. Though we would rather our clients contact our Gold Star Client Care with any issues, if a client has a bad experience with us we prefer to know about it by any means necessary. This way, we can take steps to rectify the situation. Because these reviews were posted anonymously, Tax Defense Network reached out to the reviewers the only way we could, via the complaint boards.

In each and every case, the author of the review did not respond to our continued requests that he or she contact us. Furthermore, Tax Defense Network’s database administrator did a meticulous search of our client database using the details provided in each review. He is able to say with certainty that none of these reviewers were actual Tax Defense Network clients, past or present.

Tax Defense Network can only conclude that these reviews are fake and given the sudden frequency of the postings, part of an attempt to bully Tax Defense Network and tarnish a good company’s reputation.

The Better Business Bureau is a more reliable place to research a business. The BBB has been setting standards for marketplace trust and integrity since 1912. Both complaints and reviews are verified before they are posted. Tax Defense Network is an accredited business with the BBB, which means it abides by the BBB’s Code of Business Practices. Tax Defense Network has an A+ with the BBB and works hard to live up to those standards.
