Tax Defense Network, a Jacksonville-based tax firm that specializes in assisting individuals & businesses that have IRS tax debt they cannot pay, gladly raised and donated money to Hubbard House, a center focused on helping those who have been victims of domestic violence.
Tax Defense Network has helped thousands nationwide address their tax debt and regain their lives from the aggressive collection actions of the IRS. Since incorporating in 1997, Tax Defense Network has represented thousands of people in need of help and support and this has made their desire to help those in their community even stronger.
Hubbard House is a local Jacksonville-based facility that provides shelter and outreach service for domestic violence victims and their families. Since 1976, they have not only provided immediate sanctuary for victims, but also resources, information, and education about the effects of domestic violence and how to prevent it. Their mission is to prevent further domestic violence through teaching and raising awareness in hopes of making “every relationship violence-free.”
Tax Defense Network employees raised money to donate to Hubbard House through “Casual for a Cause.” Staff members could donate $5 to wear jeans and casual wear to work. Their donations were matched by Tax Defense Network via the company’s” Give Back Fund.”
Tax Defense Network plans to continue with monthly donations and company fundraising events for the Hubbard House. They also hope to be a part of their larger fundraising events, like their Thanksgiving Food Basket program and their Holiday Adopt-a-Family program.
“There is a quote out there: ‘think globally, act locally,'” said the Vice-President of Operations for Tax Defense Network. “Every day, we work with people across the United States, helping them make their lives better by resolving their IRS tax problems. It’s easy to get tunnel vision and not notice that there are people in your own community who are in need as well. Our employees have been very supportive of all charitable initiatives. We think this is a testament to the character of the staff here at Tax Defense Network.”
Tax Defense Network hopes to have a long relationship with Hubbard House, by supporting their initiatives of educating the Jacksonville community about domestic violence and its prevention.
