Tax Defense Network does it again, this time to fight leukemia! The week before St. Patrick’s Day, every employee at Tax Defense Network received the same heart-wrenching email from Debt Consultant, Jason Slaveski:
“I am reaching out to the TDN family for one of my good friends Scott. Scott’s 7 year old daughter, Lily, was diagnosed last year with Leukemia and is currently in the middle of her “battle against the beast.”
There is an annual St. Patrick’s Day Party in the Five Points area this Saturday from 2-8pm. I am asking for donations for Scott and Lily in her fight against the beast. There is a foundation called the St Baldrick’s Foundation that helps out the families and children of this disease. I stress the word Bald. In return for your donations, I will be participating with Scott and a few of our other friends in supporting Lily in her fight by having our heads shaved on Saturday.”
There was immediate response from the entire company. People began writing out checks and fishing around in their wallets for change. Others made their donations online. In just 24 hours, Tax Defense Network rose over $1,000 for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation!
Many also chose to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by promoting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. It was at this event that Jason Slaveski made good on his promise to all of those who donated by shaving off all the hair on his head. He has worn it proudly around the office ever since. Hopefully, Tax Defense Network’s efforts will help Lily and other children in their “Battle Against the Beast!”
Lily is a brave little girl who loves American girl dolls, playing drums, reading, painting, eating shrimp, splashing around at the beach, and jumping on her trampoline (which she hasn’t been able to do in a long time). Please support her and other children like her by donating to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. It is a volunteer-driven charity that comes second only to the U.S government in funding for childhood cancer research grants.
