Tax Defense Network Charity Fights with Lily against Leukemia
The week before St. Patrick’s Day 2012, Tax Defense Network charity received a moving email from Debt Consultant Jason Slaveski:
“I am reaching out to the TDN family for one of my good friends Scott. Scott’s 7 year old daughter, Lily, was diagnosed last year with Leukemia and is currently in the middle of her “battle against the beast.” There is an annual St. Patrick’s Day Party in the Five Points area this Saturday from 2-8pm. I am asking for donations for Scott and Lily in her fight against the beast. There is a foundation called the St Baldrick’s Foundation that helps out the families and children of this disease. I stress the word Bald. In return for your donations, I will be participating with Scott and a few of our other friends in supporting Lily in her fight by having our heads shaved on Saturday.”
Tax Defense Network charity did not waste a minute and began collecting donations for Lily. In just a day, over $1,000 was raised for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Jason Slaveski did as he promised, proudly shaving his head for Lily and other children in her condition. Tax Defense Network charity is proud of the efforts of Jason and every employee that helped Lily and children like her fight cancer.
Tax Defense Network Charity Raises Autism Awareness
About one in 88 children in the U.S. has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It is a condition often misunderstood or misinterpreted. To bring change into the lives of kids suffering from autism, the Tax Defense Network charity division decided to raise awareness about the disorder and also raise funds for The Walking Tree, an annual walk/run fundraiser for the North Florida School of Special Education.
Tax Defense Network charity member, Amanda Bodkin, experienced the troubles and traumas of autism first-hand, as her younger brother was diagnosed with ASD. She told Tax Defense Network charity about the North Florida School of Special Education, the school her brother joined. Tax Defense Network charity sponsored the fundraiser.
This year, I believe they said they raised the most money to date, Amanda said of the fundraising event. 100 percent of the donations made go to support the school and its programs. This school has helped my little brother in so many ways. In the last year alone, he has almost become a completely different child. Talking more, interacting more and we believe this all because of the school, its staff, and its curriculum.
Tax Defense Network Charity Held Band-Aid Battle for Wolfson Children’s Hospital
The Band-Aid Battle was a competition Tax Defense Network charity held for Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, to send toys and band-aids to the children in the hospital. Tax Defense Network charity set up a competition within the company to assemble the most boxes of latex-free band-aids. The competition was between the first floor and the second floor of the company. The second floor won by accumulating 92 of the 147 boxes Tax Defense Network charity had collected.
