On May 17th, 2012, employees of Tax Defense Network collected pet food and funds for Pet Rescue North, a non-profit organization that was established in 1992 in Jacksonville, FL. Pet Rescue North is a no-kill shelter for homeless cats and dogs that operates solely on donations of money, food, and volunteer services. So, the money and food that Tax Defense Network employees donated that day was greatly appreciated.

With the current state of the economy, Tax Defense Network recognizes that many animals are being abandoned by families that are no longer able to take care of them. The heart-breaking decision of whether to pay IRS back taxes or care for the family pet is one that many Tax Defense Network clients have admitted to facing. It is the company’s hope that their contributions to non-profits like Pet Rescue North and services to those with IRS problems will make this a rare problem in America.

If you would like to donate to Pet Rescue North, Tax Defense Network urges you to do so, as they conveniently accept contributions by Money Order or through PayPal. You can also make a donation through United Way and the Combined Federal Campaign. Tax Defense Network is also aware that Pet Rescue North is in great need of supplies for the shelter, including cleaning supplies, pet food, pet toys, kitty litter supplies, hardware, and maintenance tools.

To look into adopting a cat or dog from Pet Rescue North, you can call 904-477-1000 or email prnorth@yahoo.com. Tax Defense Network also encourages you to attend their adoption events, held every second Saturday at the River City Marketplace in Jacksonville, FL.
